Basic rubber safety tile per m²

Price quote per m²

Tiles of 50 x 50 cm equipped with a pin-hole connection, the tiles are usually laid in a staggered pattern so that they do not shift and are difficult to remove.

Sometimes a shock-absorbing surface is required, and rubber tiles are an option. One can also consider sand, wood chips, bark, and similar materials. No shock-absorbing surface is ideal. Unfortunately, rubber tiles are not cheap. Read more in this document about various shock-absorbing surfaces and the associated issues.

The thickness of the shock-absorbing safety tiles corresponds to a maximum fall height (shock absorption/shock-absorbing property):

These standard rubber safety tiles have good wear resistance. However, remember that all standard tiles - regardless of origin - turn black after a few years since the base material is recycled (black) rubber from car tires. The black rubber chips are painted before they are glued and pressed together... EPDM tiles, on the other hand, have a solid colored top layer that is colorfast. Unfortunately, EPDM tiles cost almost twice as much as standard rubber tiles.

Apart from color fastness, the adhesive bond and pressing are very important to ensure that the rubber granules on top do not come loose. In this regard, the origin of the tiles is important, and it is better to buy from an experienced supplier.
