Idemaxwas born out of a clear need in education: qualitative outdoor spaces that can withstand wear and tear, require little maintenance, and truly invite play. What started with an initial series of seating furniture grew into a full product range, developed for schools, municipalities, and organizations that invest in sustainable play environments.
Over the years, we evolved further — with our own designs, our own production, and a strong focus on circular materials. Today we build under the brandsSpeelplaatsmeubel.beandCour de Récrétowards future-oriented solutions for playgrounds throughout Belgium and beyond.
Our products are fully developed in-house: from concept and 3D design to production, packaging, and shipping. This ensures control over quality and flexibility in customization. Our material — 100% recycled plastic — is the common thread. Strong, splinter-free, low-maintenance, and made to last for years.
Idemax continues to grow, but one thought remains guiding:

Start as a designer
Axel starts Idemax as a design agency from the attic.
Creation of Play Gamma
Axel designs the first foundations of what will later grow into the Idemax range.
Start of Playground Furniture
To gain more access to schools, we start an online webshop under the name speelplaatsmeubel.be
Start of Cour De Récré
To be successful in Wallonia as well, we add Cour De Récré as a marketing name
Purchase of additional warehouse
To store all products, an additional hall is purchased.
Expansion of production
An additional, third production hall is put into use and a new CNC machine is purchased.
Additional investors
Idemax attracts additional investors and an external CEO for (international) growth
