In the photos, you can see the shade domes growing over time.
At VBS Top@punt in Geel, a fully grown shade dome was created by guiding twelve silver linden trees around a curved structure made of recycled plastic.
The 12 pollard linden trees are bent not in 2D but in 3D over a dome structure made of durable recycled plastic. This creates a nice, natural shaded area. From November 1 to March 1, you can plant these Silver Lindens (Tilia tomentosa) After a few years, the pollard linden dome forms a perfect shaded spot where play can take place or outdoor lessons can be given, and where reading becomes even more enjoyable.
Above, you can see the evolution of the shade dome at De Augustientjes childcare centre in Geel. The shade dome has become a real eye-catcher and grows more beautiful with each passing year.
