Tips:
- It is best to provide a ventilating mesh fabric to keep leaves and cats out.
- A rectangular shape is preferable; otherwise, a possible mesh fabric will become too complex and also too expensive.
- It is best not to place a sandbox against a wall but free-standing so that a mesh fabric can be applied using knots and elastic cord.
- Never use closed tarps because sandboxes need to be able to "breathe" and receive sunlight.
- An entry zone is possible, but then a gate must be available when using a mesh fabric.
- Anti-root cloth on the bottom of the sandbox prevents mixing with the underlying soil.
- It's best to have a bit of hardening next to the sandbox to easily scoop up spilled sand.
- Do not provide a wide sandbox edge because then kids will build with sand on the edge = sand next to the sandbox.
- Provide tables and platforms in the sandbox so that less sand ends up next to the sandbox.
We only supply sturdy (220 g/m²) rectangular mesh cloths for customers who also ordered an edge. Including stainless steel eyelets every 50 cm, plastic knots with stainless steel screws, and also elastic cord. Always place the edge first and then measure for the mesh cloth! Sand tables and kitchens also help keep the mesh cloth up and prevent sand from going next to the sandbox.
We do not provide installation, but we can connect you with installers who have a lot of experience with it. The price for installation requires a site visit. Parameters include: Digging a box for the sand? Nature of the subsoil? Removal of soil or not? Accessibility of the site? Providing anti-root cloth? Supplying and filling sand? What kind of sand? Providing hardening around the sandbox? etc...
